No matter where or when you choose to vacation, it’s always hard to relax when you’re worrying about the happiness and care of your furry companion. So when you leave town, send your dog on a vacation of his or her own.

House Food

$4/day per dog

The boarding rate is per 24 hours, whatever time you drop off is your check out time rate wise. We do give a 4 hour grace period, after that there is a late pick up fee equivalent to a daycare fee. (For example: If you drop off at 8am and pick up by noon the following day that is one night of boarding, but if you pick up after noon it will be a night of boarding plus the late pick up fee.)

Standard Boarding Cancellation Policy: A $50 deposit is required to confirm all reservations. If you cancel within 48 of arrival date, deposit will be lost.

Holiday/Peak Period Rates - There is a $5 surcharge per dog per night on all Holiday/Peak Period Reservations.

Holiday Cancellation Policy: A $50 deposit is required to confirm all holiday reservations. If you have reserved a spot for one of our holiday times listed above and you cancel within 5 days of arrival, deposit will be lost.

Whether you just want your dog to have a happier day while you are away at work or if your dog requires special care, assistance, medicine, etc. we can provide an interactive daycare environment.

Bathing

Prices are based on the breed, size of the dog, length and condition of the hair and amount of time required. Baths are only for boarding or daycare customers.

Our dog hotel suites replicate the home environment they are used to. You can also bring your dog’s own bedding and food to make them even more comfortable.
Fully furnished luxury VIP suites are also available – great for multi-dog families.
At least five times daily for daycare and seven times for boarding, dogs get to go outside to enjoy our expansive play areas.
In the event of inclement weather, all locations have indoor play areas. These rooms are also great for more social dogs regardless of the weather.
Our dog hotel suites replicate the home environment with sounds of DogTv and music.
Complimentary daycare amenities provided to all boarding guests.
We upload photos and videos to FaceBook and Instagram so you can watch your dog having fun no matter where you are.

Your dog’s safety is always our number one priority. Here are some of the ways in which we ensure that their stay is a healthy and happy one:

Our staff is certified in both pet CPR and first-aid for your peace of mind.
We have the ability to accommodate older dogs.
Medications are administered at no additional charge.
Play groups are organized by dog size and temperament.
Choose to bring food from home or use our house food – Fromm Classic – an excellent choice.
Have your dog bathed before you return.

RESERVATION DETAILS

All BHV locations require reservations in advance for both boarding and daycare.

Daycare admission is Monday-Friday only. During peak times of the year, we have extremely limited availability for daycare. To make sure we have availability, please make a reservation prior to your visit. We ask that all daycare guests arrive by 11am.

Daycare cancellation policy – You must cancel by 5pm the day prior to your appointment to avoid an automatic daycare charge.

BOARDING policy – A boarding charge applies when a dog stays in our facility OVERNIGHT. Upon a dog’s departure, a daycare charge is added only when the dog’s checkout time is more than four hours AFTER its check in time. EXAMPLE: A dog that checks in on a Monday at 8:00 am and checks out Tuesday at 5:00 pm, would be charged for ONE night of boarding AND one day of daycare. If the same dog checked out at 10:00 am, then they would only be charged for the ONE night of boarding.

BHV requires a credit card on file for all clients.

REQUIREMENTS

All dogs are to be evaluated (a day of daycare) by one of our approved staff members before signing up or purchasing daycare packages.
We require at least 48 hours to elapse after your dog receives new vaccinations before boarding or daycare.
All dogs must wear a collar with proper ID tag for boarding or daycare.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

All dogs must be in good health and must not have been exposed to any contagious or communicable illnesses within a 30 day period prior to check in. This includes both boarding and daycare. Barking Hound Village will not allow admission of any guests that have a terminal illness or are in the late stages of that illness. We also are unable to board diabetic or epileptic dogs as they require care that we cannot provide. It is strongly recommended that they be placed under the care of a licensed veterinarian.
Dogs must weigh a minimum of 10lbs and be 4 months of age or older.
Only spayed and neutered dogs are accepted with the exception of puppies younger than 6 months.
Due to the communal nature of our playgroups/ boarding we cannot accept Dogo Argentino, Pit Bull, Bull Terrier, AmStaff Terrier or any predominate mix of these breeds. Additional behavioral screening may be required for power breeds and bully breeds.
Dogs are pack animals and play with teeth and paws. Therefore, even under supervision, nicks and scrapes can occur. In the event of a serious injury, we will contact you immediately. If the injury is minor, we will advise you at the time of departure.
A copy of updated shot records from your veterinarian is required, including Rabies, DHLP, PARVO, fecal and Bordetella (kennel cough). The vaccination is not 100% effective in preventing kennel cough and is simply a preventative. Kennel cough is a risk associated with boarding and daycare.
